Dr. Ariel Ortiz is one of the first surgeons to perform Adjustable Gastric Banding (AGB) in the Americas. He has performed over 1000 AGB procedures and trained surgeons from every part of the continent on AGB surgery, including dozens of surgeons from the USA. He is a Professor of General and Minimally Invasive Surgery, and is a member of numerous associations including the Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
