Carlos Casalnuovo Buenos Aires, Argentina M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Carlos A. Casalnuovo started in 1988 with the 1st Program for Surgical Treatment of morbid and superobese patients in Argentina. He performed the laparoscopic approach in bariatric surgery from 1994, and since January 1998 the Adjustable Gastric System is the most used technique. He is the pioneer in Argentina and one of the most experienced bariatric surgeons in South America. He is President of the Argentine Society for the Surgery of Obesity-SACO.
