Dr. Carlos A. Casalnuovo started in 1988 with the 1st Program for Surgical Treatment of morbid and superobese patients in Argentina. He performed the laparoscopic approach in bariatric surgery from 1994, and since January 1998 the Adjustable Gastric System is the most used technique. He is the pioneer in Argentina and one of the most experienced bariatric surgeons in South America. He is President of the Argentine Society for the Surgery of Obesity-SACO. Assistant Professor of Surgery and Chief of Bariatric Surgery Section and Multidisciplinary Obesity Team, Hospital de Clínicas, University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Fellow American College of Surgeons (FACS), Regular Member American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS), Regular and Council Member of International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO). He is Director of “Centro de Cirugía de la Obesidad-CCO” (Obesity Surgery Center), where you can be treated by a very experienced Multidisciplinary Team.
