Ovarian Cystectomy by laparoscopic surgery involves the removal of ovarian cyst(s) through laparoscope. A benign cyst as large as 6-8 cm (2-3 inches) can be removed by this technique without hospitalization. The cyst is placed in a plastic net, its contents are aspirated (sucked out) to collapse the cyst and then the cyst can then be removed within the plastic net through a tiny incision without spilling its content into abdominal cavity.
